I need just a network printer, so that my children could print the information for its laptops and desktop computers can use the printer. What Canon is hiding very well is that this model does not address or a network: a network is printed, but it will not scan to a. So, if you configure it to allow the printing of several machines that anyone can find him or her, the scanner is disabled. The scanner will only work when the machine is connected to one (and only) computer. Therefore, you can scan / print in a printing press or a network, but not so much. It is almost incomprehensible to me that a reputable company like Canon would do something so stupid. Save the box because you do not know the limits of this printer before installing the drivers and put it otherwise, the printer is short and solid and well designed software. 35 of 41 people found this review helpful. Canon takes! From Canon image class D1120 Puput multifunction laser copier (3478B001AA) We used the Canon for about 6 years older and was very satisfied with his performance. So the top of the scanner broke, so we tried a newer model from Canon - it fits perfectly in private practice. And 'scans, copies, faxes, interacts with the network, you name it ... Now if only the retailers had more ink, which would be the end of the problem. Yes, the ink is expensive, but check the bearing number of copies that can produce! It is worth all this. So if you are looking for a reliable office copier multitasking is not going well. I highly recommend. Oh, by the way, we are still using the old machine - for print jobs. 18 of 20 people found the following review useful network scanning Diva NO sound I am very disappointed with this machine. If you only need one printer / copier or directly connected to your computer with a USB cable, and presumably it works as advertised. Prints into good and was easy to set up until I tried to scan something. In my effort to go paperless as possible, several weeks after the printer arrived, I went to check something. It did not work and the instruction manual is not clear at all. I called Canon and they told me that this machine was the "baseline" and not have the capacity asked. If I wanted to scan a network (I do it just by physical distance between the computer and printer to the media via an Ethernet cable instead of USB to connect) should have bought a high-end models of others. Maybe I missed something, but I do not see that important information throughout the product description or on the packaging it came to technique suggested I put my computer on a cart with wheels when I wanted the printer to scan. REALLY! After some time on the phone and different levels of support offered me a backup device that once installed will allow me to scan, but only if I use a PC. Of course, I primarily use a Mac I can not say whether the device works because I have not been able to get the instructions to install and deploy. I had to hang up after a period of time to take hold of a Canon representative. See all 20 customer reviews ....
