If any of the other reviewers, this unit has some weight. It comes with full cartridges, the starter cartridges. The color and sharpness are excellent. I use an HP monochrome LaserJet for the last 1020 years. There is a clear improvement in the clarity of the text. When the machine goes out of its hibernation, is higher than I expected, and was even a little shocked at first. Also, it takes about 15 seconds to print the first page. I got it for about $ 280 from Staples and I am satisfied with the price paid and the performance of this device. I hope that many years of use, strictly in the home. The installation was simple. This is the network for my home network to an Ethernet cable. I have a computer running Windows 7 and the other two running Win XP home. They found the printer on the network seamlessly. It was much easier to implement than trying to "share" a non-network printer, I give it 4 stars because the noise level. In all honesty, I have nothing to compare it to his class. For the price, I think it's a better built unit than the HP 2025, which costs even more, and HP ink cartridges for cost twice as much as his brother, but there is no battery to replace the HP function of the drum is built into each cartridge and the price. A new drum for brother manages about $ 150, but I do not expect to take place for several years or more. I can live with that! Hopefully this helps 44 of 44 people found this review helpful. Greater value to the color laser by Samuel M. Stone is the fourth color laser I've owned. The first two were Konica-Minolta. They were among the first affordable on the market (still expensive) and one of them, magicolor 2300dl, does a decent job given the technology of his time. The second and smaller, Magicolor 2400, died in a few years has been slow, and the third is the HP 2025, which is much smaller (of course, still much larger than the color printers inkject.) And the two-sided printing. But it takes an hour to print an entire page on both sides, color brochure. Even if your color is vivid, the speed is lousy. So if I want 10 copies of color images, I have to leave the press during the night. I want to use these printers for their end of drum life, and sell or give away instead of spending more money on them. One main feature I want from a color laser is two-sided printing. I decided to try the Brother HL-4150CDN, because it was sold for $ 250 on Amazon.com (surprised to see the price rose to $ 370 after I bought it). And 'duplex and is said to be fast. Well, it's fast, the fastest of all color printers that I have any properties. Although it is strong when the press, you only hear a few seconds of noise and then everything is peaceful. A star is retired because the paint is dry, unlike the bright, HP. I really does not matter what color to dry. The real problem is too dark colors. I tried a few setting adjustments, and better, but still darker than the original, or the production of HP. It also means that I use more toner. I have it for a week, and I think I've written a lot, but the yellow toner left half is shown. I'm trying to figure out color calibration, I've never had to do with my previous printer. Hope that helps. It is a toner-power mode, I can not find how to do it yet, but hope it helps. Maybe in the toner saving mode that will give me a lighter color, but it is correct. - Update --- The yellow color shows the half was not right. Showing the way when you look at the Administration for the printer from the browser, but the digital display on the printer shows full. I did a calibration, but it seems perfectly calibrated at the factory.
